May the memories of yesterday comfort you today is an appropriate sentiment for this tranquil purple sympathy card. This type of card is always so difficult to make when you need it. I prefer to make several ahead of time so I'll always have them on hand. How to Make this Sympathy Card: 1) Start with a Basic White Thick cardstock base, 8-1/2" x 5-1/2". Score at 4-1/4" and fold. 2) Add a 4" x 5-1/4" layer of Gorgeous Grape cardstock on the front of the card base.. 3) Cut Basic White cardstock to 3-3/4" x 5". 4) Add a 1" x 5" strip of Hand Penned Designer Series Paper to the left side of the white cardstock. 5) Stamp the small tulip from Timeless Tulips with Gorgeous Grape ink near the DSP border. 6) Stamp the stem and leaves from Timeless Tulips in Old Olive ink for the small tulip, as well as the curved stem for the large tulip. 7) Next stamp the large tulip in Gorgeous Grape ink and punch it out with the Tulip Builder punch. 8) Continue by stamping the leaf for the large tulip in Old Olive and punching it out. 9) Adhere the large tulip and leaf with Stampin' Dimensionals. 10) Finally, stamp the sentiment in Highland Heather ink. 11) Tie a bow around the white cardstock with Gorgeous Grape Sheer Ribbon (so pretty!) near the bottom. 12) Adhere the white panel to the card base. 13) A few Pastel Pearls add the perfect accent to your finished card! TIP 1: You can leave the center leaf off, but if you decide later to add it, it's easier to stamp it on a separate scrap of white cardstock, hand cut it, and glue it where you'd like it (ask me how I know). TIP 2: To keep your bow just where you want it, add a glue dot behind the knot. #inkshimmerandshine #timelesstulips #tulipbuilderpunch #sympathycards #handpenned
