Welcome back for another Colour INKspiration challenge. This inspiration picture which has inspired our colour palette was chosen by Crew Member, Rose Packer. There are so many gorgeous colours in the inspiration pic so we decided to challenge you to use your 3 favourite Stampin' Up! colours.

My favourite colour in general is green. I love deep sea greens and bright aqua greens so it is only natural that my favourite Stampin' Up! colours are Pretty Peacock and Summer Splash. I don't usually use them together so for this challenge I went with Pretty Peacock and paired it with 2 non-green faves - Peach Pie and Pretty In Pink.

As I was pulling products to make my card I found an unopened pack of the Lily Pond Lane Designer Series Paper and realised it had my 3 chosen colours in the designs. Must have been a sign. I have to admit, this paper pack hasn't really grabbed my attention .... until today!

The pack features ducks and fish along with the lily pond scenes and left me a bit stumped originally as to how to use it. By cutting it into strips and fussy cutting the floral images I was able to make it more my style. I love how the Pretty Peacock card base allows the strips of Designer Series Paper to pop. This is a really simple design but hopefully it gives you an idea of how to use patterned paper when you get a bit overwhelmed.
