How to easily create a checkered pattern? 1) buy the paper already done like this, 2) cut 1" square and glue them onto a base, 3) flashback to school days and weave Real Red and Basic White cardstock strips together. I chose #3! And wow it was easy! I started with five strips of Real Red measuring 1" x 4" each and 3 strips of Basic White measuring 1" x 6" each. That gave me some extra cardstock to cut off when done so I had some pretty perfect squares. I glued the top left corner together (white on red) and adhered as I went. A great tablecloth of this Bistro Burger delight from my Avid Stampers' class in July.
