Create a quick and simple watercolor wash background with Stampin' Up!'s watercolor pencils and water painters. I used Basic White cardstock. You can also use Fluid 100 watercolor paper. Use the watercolor pencils in your favorite colors to add color to your Basic White cardstock piece. Then use a damp water painter to smooth out the pencil. *note: basic white cardstock doesn't take much water. If you over saturate it may pill or pull apart. If you want to use more water, it is recommended to use the watercolor paper as it absorbs more water than the basic white. I created three notecards with my backgrounds. After the pieces were dry, I stamped on top with a flower from Honeybee Home stamp set in Night of Navy classic ink. I adhered them to Night of Navy cardstock and then to a Basic White notecard. The greeting is from Happiness Abounds stamp set *Happiness Abounds is available as a bundle to save 10%. On one notecard, I stepped it up by adding some opal rounds I colored with my dark Night of Navy blends marker.
